Christmas 2011

So it turns out that I am a horrible blogger. It has been almost a year since the last time I signed in. I doubt that anyone even knows that our family still has a blog. I was working on a photobook for our family from 2011 and decided that it would be sooo much easier if I just kept track of all our family events all year long rather than trying to remember everything in February of the following year. Plus, I still need to find a place to print out the previous blog posts so if anyone knows how to turn your blog into a photo book let me know.

So I thought I would post a few pictures from Christmas in Cheyenne. Everyone had a great Christmas even though 4 of us were sick! Brig and Zach somehow avoided the germs from the rest of us. It came back to haunte BRig though. Poor Brig spent this whole week sick in California and Oregon while he presented at Design Con

We had Christmas with the Asays on the 24 and Christmas with the Skippers on the 25th. I was sooo excited to give Brig his present. I had a custom bobblehead made for him which he now calls little Brig, Little Brig showed up all over the place for a while until I made Brig take him to work. I got my first kitchenaid mixer which I love love love! There is even a picture in here of Zach Tebowing with his new Tebow pictures.

Baby Ben turns 1!

Happy Birthday Ben

I can't believe my baby is already a year old.  This year had gone by so quickly but yet it seems like Ben has always been in the family.  We had a party at our house and lots of family came to celebrate with us. We grilled hamburgers (yes in December), ate cake, decorated oranments, played pin the nose on the reindeer and opened presents.  Ben had to have a bath after the blue frosting and he really did not like his hands being so messy.

Ben was not a fan of the Birthday Hat

Hmmm, what do I do?

Mmmm good

Decorating the perfect tree

Sunday evening we started with the Christmas Traditions. Every year the kids open their Christmas pajamas and get to wear them to decorate the Christmas tree

.

Natalie and Ben had matching gingerbread men pajamas. It is sad but Zach and Madeline are at the age where they are not thrilled with the cute matching holiday pajamas. At least I can still make Molly dog wear the reindeer antlers headband.

The Christmas tree was not complete until the Broncos ornament was hung, nor was the day complete without someone Tebowing.

O Christmas Tree

For the firs time since we lived in Laramie (1999), we picked out a real Christmas tree. We wanted the kids to have a the whole finding a tree experience. Each kid had a different attribute that they were looking for. Zach wanted a solid green. He didn't want a lot of variation in the color. Madeline wanted a tree that was full and big. Natalie wanted a tall tree that was pretty. Brig just didn't want to have to get the fake tree out of the crawl space. My requirement was simple; a perfect tree. The tree was amazing however I am still finding pine needles all over the house. It was worth it for our perfect tree!
