First day of school
Natalie's first day of Kindergarten. I can't believe that she is old enough and at the same time it seems like she has been ready for Kindergarten for years. I don't that there has ever been a child more excited for Kindergarten than Natalie. Madeline is starting 5th grade and her last year of elementary school. 5th grade is a fun year with the 3 day school trip to High Trails and the Revolutionary ball. Madeline is excited to have the same teacher that Zach had for 5th grade. Zach is in his 2nd year of middle school as a 7th grader! Crazy! Little Ben gets to stay home with Mom and Molly the dog.

Madeline's Baptism
12 years!

Yesterday was our 12 year anniversary! Brig and I dated for almost 6 years before we were married so we have known Brig for a while now. We had a fun anniversary. We went to the Mona Lisa in Manitou Springs. (I thought this was appropriate since I actually got to see the real Mona Lisa this year.) We went to the Mona Lisa for my birthday once when we lived in Boise and we loved it. We had the best flaming turtle chocolate fondue.
There was some kind of festival at the park in the middle of town. Now sure what was going on but we had fun looking at everything.
In the 12 years that Brig and I have been married, we have had 3 great kids - each one born in a different state, both earned bachelors and master's degrees, had jobs that we have loved and hated, acquired a cat named big kitty, loud tree frogs, a fish, then Molly the dog, moved so many times that I have stopped counting including the states of Wyoming, Idaho and Colorado, gone to Europe twice, gone to Mexico twice, went on my dream trip to New York, and Brig has had the chance to travel to South America and all over Asia, and we have attended so many sporting events that there is no way to count them all.
I am grateful for the last 12 years but ready and excited for the next twelve!
First day of school
The kids went back to school on Tuesday! This is Zach's last year of Elementary!Times seems to be going so quickly. The summer flew by. We all had a great summer and did a lot of fun things but I think we are all ready for a routine again. Plus Zach is ready for handball at recess. Maddi seems to like her teacher so far and I am grateful that she has some of her friends in her class. Natalie went to her preschool orientation on Thursday and Monday the 24th is her first real day! She is soooo excited. Natalie's preschool is at Zach and Maddi's school. I will take pictures of her first day and maybe one day I will post them

Proud to be an American!
Happy 6th of July! We had a busy and fun 4th on Saturday. We(Brig) spent the day building a new dog run for Molly and the kids and I helped. After that we headed out to Denver in a huge thunderstorm. Brig was optimistic that the Rockies would still play. I on the other hand thought the game was going to be rained out or figured that we would be rained on the whole night. There was a slight game delay but other than that Brig was right and it was a beautiful night. I got chills as all the service men and women held the American Flag during the Anthem and even more chills as the crowd cheered as the thunder birds flew overhead.

We had a fun night even thought the Rockies lost the game. We were able to spend time with some of Brig's family and even saw my sister at the game too. The fireworks were amazing and we had a fantastic view. We got to sit on the grass of Coors field. It was our second time being on an actual Major League field. We got some pictures of Brig and Zach in front the scoreboard on the field. It was a big night for Zach! Zach and Maddi liked the fireworks and Natalie liked them for about a minute then decided that they were too loud. I personally thought it was one of the best fire works displays that I have seen. I can't think of anything more American than sitting at a baseball park eating popcorn and peanuts while watching fireworks.
